A rescheduled vacation, snow and a service dog

My daughter and I had our annual trip to Manhattan canceled in the spring of 2014 due to a family emergency. We took the trip in February to make up for it but unexpectedly came during a snowstorm. That was a bit challenging for us since we’re from California and are very unfamiliar with navigating in the snow. We spent a great part of our time in our suite where we both enjoyed our own bathrooms and her service dog enjoyed being able to stretch out in various rooms. We also happened to be staying at the Waldorf Astoria during Hurricane Sandy (where we told our friends we were sheltering in place), but it was the snowy experience that was the most memorable for us.
