Our Dream Come True

In 2012, my wife and I treated ourselves to our first trip to New York. We stayed in a small hotel on Third Avenue, organised by our travel agent. Whilst walking to Times Square, we turned onto Park Avenue and saw this absolutely amazing building. It was instantly recognisable as the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. We took a quick look inside at the lobby and saw the 1893 World’s Fair Clock, and right there and then made a vow that one day we will stay here, a wish that at the time seemed far away. But as if things were meant to be, we found ourselves back in New York in 2013 and spent 14 nights at the Waldorf, in the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. It was our Dream Come True.
