Falling in Love

In 1977, I was the Food & Beverage Controller of the W-A. One of my job functions was to determine the food cost for special high end banquets. Also. at this time a certain Anne Beck had joined the Catering department as an assistant to Chris Carey, yes the Governor’s son. I was smitten with her smile and brown eyes. So when I received a menu to cost out from her, I immediately sat with Chef Schmidt or Chef Kurt. Then usually a couple of hours later, I would hand deliver the “costs” to Anne so they could price their proposal. Soon we were dating and we married the summer! ❤️
