Amazing memories of stunning hotel
2011
My husband and I first stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in April 2011, on our first visit to New York and the United States. From its reputation, it was the only hotel that we wanted to stay at, and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel we were blown away by its ambience and the quality of service and care given by the staff.
I recall that on one of the days during our stay. we had been out all day doing the sunrise and sunset visits to the top of the rock. Whilst up there are sunset, we saw lots of flashing lights in the street below, which turned out to be President Obama’s cavalcade. We found this out when we returned to the hotel and there were a lot of large looking security guards in reception! We were tired after a day of walking round the city so we decided to order room service (for the first time ever!). The guy that delivered it, wheeled the trolley into the room and set it up like a little table for us. It was a great experience and we both enjoyed it!
