Waldorf is LOVE

Dear Waldorf,

For us you mean LOVE.

Love in how you were guarded, love in the kindness of all the people who worked in, love in how we felt during all our holidays…

We start staying in The Towers in 2005 since NYC was our Home… so magical!!!

So many memories, especially on Christmas…

During the charity dinner hosted by the team, we won a Christmas trip to NYC and The Waldorf Astoria.

When we arrived at The Waldorf, we said that we want to live in New York and we did it in 2013/14 because I played for The New York Cosmos. Then we go back to Italy due to family health issues.

My wife promised to her mom to live our dream and we sell everything and in 2019 we came back to NYC where she found a job at Cipriani. I was looking to always work in soccer.

But this crazy COVID forced us to go back to Italy and our dream is gone… We start our life again here in Italy; Giulia received a job offer but at the moment if we don’t have certainties we will live in Italy. I opened my technical soccer academy.

We hope to have the opportunity to come sometime and we will come in NYC every moment we can.

Ned Karagic was our special concierge, but all of them were so lovely. Natalie Oliveira, a manager, was so kind always ready to accommodate us.

We have so many things to talk about … One time we spent one month in The Towers.

We remember all our Peacock Alley brunches… and the same chef that prepared the omelet in front of us every time was so gentle and always recognized us…

All the people we met treated us like we were a part of the family!!!!

We saw so many places in The Waldorf. I remember that we visit so many ballrooms, the theater, the kitchens, the Presidential Suite.

Waldorf is like a castle with The Towers like a fairytale …

One night walking around in a corridor we saw a guy playing piano with his fiancé romantically listening played on the piano in a long dress.

We saw so many weddings…

We always said that one day we dream about having our wedding at the Waldorf and my wife wants to work there.

It was thanks to The Waldorf that we fell deeply in LOVE for the city…

I played for New York Cosmos years later and we always stopped by the Waldorf to enjoy the atmosphere that made us dream…

We stay together since 2003 and we love each other every day more and more…

Waldorf for us means so much and we desire that will be our home in NYC forever…

Can’t wait to come back and feel again this LOVE!!!

Thanks to this opportunity to share our story we feel grateful to experience for so many times the greatest hotel in the world!
